Journey to Evimere is a science fantasy adventure tale with a solid aesthetic vision, told through words and images. It focuses on the formation and adventures surrounding the crew of the spaceship, Scintellax, as they search for Evimere, the legendary planet of endless riches.
Evimere draws on aesthetic inspiration from various movies, comics, pulp fiction literature, magazines, and TV shows from throughout the 1950s-'70s, utilizing dieselpunk aestheticism, atomic-age enthusiasm, and space opera adventurism to blend and spin together a heterogenous creative vision, held together through nostalgic retrofuturism. It also borrows from mainstream Western fantasy, as developed by Tolkien and through tabletop RPGs such as Dungeons and Dragons. Incorporating themes of anti-imperialism and historical allegory, Journey to Evimere seeks to use the past's perspective on the future to tell a story from a potential future's perspective on the past.
